sp5 john (mike) lanthrum

Mike proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967 as an SP5, or Specialist Fifth Class. During his service, he was stationed in Cu Chi with the 25th Infantry Division, 4th Infantry. Born in Hillsboro and a graduate of Hillsboro schools, Mike maintained strong ties to the community throughout his life, with family still residing in the area. His military service during a challenging period in American history reflects courage, dedication, and a commitment to serving his country. The Hillsboro community proudly recognizes and thanks him for his service and sacrifice.
