From 1942 to 1946, Clarence proudly served in the United States Army Infantry with the 96th Division during World War II. During his military service, he fought in the major Pacific campaigns on the islands of Leyte and Okinawa, two of the most significant and challenging battles of the war. His courage, sacrifice, and dedication helped support the Allied effort during a pivotal time in world history.

Through his service, he demonstrated remarkable strength and commitment in defense of his country and the freedoms we enjoy today. The Hillsboro community proudly recognizes and honors him for his service and sacrifice during World War II.
